
Zom was born in the U.S. where she majored in fine arts at the University of Washington. She worked as a signwriter before emigrating to Australia where she worked as a graphic artist.
Zom received her Post-Graduate degree in Visual Arts from COFA in 1989 and then went on to four years of study to attain a Certificate of Achievement in Classical Drawing and Painting from the Studio Art School.
She had her first solo show in 2006 at the Lismore Regional Gallery and since then has exhibited in various solo and group shows.
