Stephen Bird | Intermediate Ceramics
This course is designed for those students with some previous ceramic experience who wish to expand and develop their hand building skills and hone their painting and glazing techniques. Due to a small class size, students can research and explore their own area of interest and work with a variety of glazing techniques, including liquid clay slip, under glaze, metal oxides, tin glazed earthenware, on glaze enamels and luster. There is plenty of scope in this workshop for self discovery and for students to develop a unique body of works.
Students will be encouraged to use drawing exercises as a way of generating and developing new and improvised forms.
