This course will equip students with the foundational skills they need to create powerful and convincing portraits in whichever style they choose.

Students will learn to see and understand the large masses, structure and planes of the head, how to place the features, and how to understand and draw the features themselves.

Drawing will be the main discipline used throughout the course, however, everything covered in the course applies equally to painting and students will be taught how to mix skin colours.
