AMBER WALLIS | WHERE REPRESENTATION & ABSTRACTION MEET
Explore the painterly terrain where representation and abstraction meet.
Often art straddles the line between representation and abstraction, revealing how ordinary objects often serve as a point of departure for an artists abstract vision, or, alternatively, how an artist’s abstract forms may subtly suggest recognisable elements.
In this two day intensive weekend workshop artist Amber Wallis will discuss and assist students to explore where representation (including figuration) and abstraction cross over. Day one will focus on experimental image making and varied painterly techniques and day two will focus on more finished work. We will use varied and experimental painterly applications.
Classes are suitable for all levels from complete beginner to more experienced artists wanting to extend their current art practice.
Classes will be held at 112 Dalley Street, MULLUMBIMBY
