Amber is a full-time practicing artist, awarded the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship in 2008, cover artist of Australian Art Collector October – December 2011, featured in Artist Profile in 2012 and 2019. She has held solo exhibitions at Utopian Slumps Melbourne, Gallery 9 Sydney, Edwina Corlette Gallery Brisbane, and Nicholas Thompson Gallery, Melbourne.
She has been curated into exhibitions nationally and internationally and has shown work at The Lodge, Los Angeles, The Ian Potter Museum of Art, Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney Contemporary and Melbourne Art Fair.
Wallis studied at the Canberra School of Art and Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Canada, and completed her Master of Visual Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne.
Her work is held in the Artbank and Arthur Roe Collections as well as various private collections in Australia and Internationally.
She is represented by Nicholas Thompson Gallery, Melbourne.
