This studio based course is designed for students who have completed our Foundation (FYVA) course, or for students who have studied visual arts elsewhere and need mentorship to develop a body of work. Critical thinking and development of your own visual language through research methods as well as technical information are components of this course. Students are guided by our experienced team to develop a portfolio and work towards an exhibition. Whether you need a portfolio to go to university or you are a more experienced artist wanting to develop your practice, the course is designed to facilitate a critical awareness and understanding of visual art and its contexts. Course activities include studio work, field trips, gallery visits, guest lecturers, group exhibitions and more. 

Eligibility: Students who finish the Foundation year are eligible for the Visual Arts Portfolio course.

Total Cost for the year is $4290 ($3900 plus $390 GST). If students pay before 3rd February 2016 the cost is discounted to $4070 ($3700 plus $370 GST). 

To secure a place in the course, students must sign up for the whole year*. All payments (whether semester or full year) are due by the 3rd February 2016.  

*If due to any unforeseen circumstances the course does not run, all monies will be refunded.
