Students and aspiring painters are always wanting to learn and extend technical skills to create beautiful paintings. However, they can often miss the point that while an artwork should be visually breathtaking it must also strive to be both conceptually and emotionally elegant as well. 

In this six week course we will combine the development of painting techniques with the deeper journey into the underlying ideas and feelings that the imagination can access. The students will have ample time to extend their knowledge of the manipulation of acrylic or oil paint, covering all the major aspects of opaque painting. The course will also provoke the creative imagination , teaching methods to nurture creativity and express this through paint.
