Sarah Harvey

Sarah Harvey is an emerging artist and printmaker who began her studies in 2003 at Central Saint Martins College, London and in 2008 attained a Bachelor of Fine Art degree at Queensland College of Art, Brisbane with a high commendation in lithography & printmaking. She held her first solo exhibition at the Tweed River Art Gallery in 2010 and has since exhibited widely in Australia and overseas. She was recently awarded the emerging artist prize at Walker St Gallery in Melbourne and was selected for the Print Council of Australia Print Commission. Her work is held in many national and international collections, including the QUT Art Museum, Brisbane and the Print Council of Australia, Melbourne.

Her work is inspired by childhood, books, illustration, imagination and the everyday moments of life. The majority of her work is created through printmaking techniques although she has recently begun to explore other mediums such paint, textiles and sculpture.
