Rene Bolten | Still Life - An Excuse To Paint
In this 8-week course, students will investigate various still-life set-ups using a variety of approaches. Rene doesn’t like to give too much away, always insisting on providing a sense of wonder when beginning a painting, however, each week Rene will introduce another strategy for working with still life.
Rene encourages and supports students to maintain fluidity in all aspects of their painting practice, including approach, techniques, materials and incentives, leading to diversity and discovery.
Rene is known for his exquisitely understated, gem-like still life paintings and is a much-loved teacher who has taught in the Northern Rivers for a number of years.
This course is Part 3 of our 'Year of Painting' course at BSA. Students may enrol as part of the year-long course, or just by the term as they would with any other short course.
