Emily Imeson | Painting Unseen Landscapes
This course is now full. Please email us at shortcourses@byronschoolofart.com to be added to the waitlist.
In this six-week course students will explore working between outdoor and indoor studios, aiming to generate paintings that move beyond visual representations of landscape.
Students will consider the separation between nature and culture through a process-led practice of immersing themselves in the landscape and to later reflect on this experience through painting and drawing.
The objective is to unobtrusively be with the landscape and generate an interest in things beyond the individual, allowing memories and embodied knowledge to distort visual representations and allow articulate innate knowing of the world as an interconnected entanglement.
