This weekend workshop will introduce students to the process of creating images as a response to a text or narrative.

Working with a set text, students will be given a basic grounding in the requirements of professional illustrating exploring the symbiotic relationship between text and image. Students are encouraged to work in their preferred medium; be that paint, drawing, collage or a combination of the above, to respond to the provided text.

This is a playful introduction and catalyst for anyone with an urge to explore the art of illustration and is intrigued by the interplay between word and image within their personal art practice.
