In this six-week course, Michael Cusack will discuss and assist students with the process of understanding and moving into the language of abstraction. While developing this language, students will be encouraged to take elements of both collage and painting to create ’hybrid paintings’ where found objects, sourced imagery and painting materials combine. The results are often surprising and are a great way to push a painting practice into new areas.
