Matthew E. Baird
MATTHEW BAIRD (AKA M.E. BAIRD)
Matthew is a visual artist, musician and educator. For Matthew creative expression is first and foremost about telling a story by whatever means possible and or suitable, whether that be via a sketch, a song, an installation, screen art, text or a sculpture piece. His current works explore the notion of relativity, plurality and memory.
As an educator, he has held sessional lecturing and teaching scholar positions at UNSW, College of Fine Arts, Sydney University, RMIT University and Deakin University in the areas of Art, Design and Creative Theory.
Matthew has also won several awards for teaching excellence. His formal and informal research for the last twenty years has been focused around creative thinking and how to nurture this as a skill, and how to undertake creative endeavours with skill, confidence and a sense of excitement.
