Kat Shapiro Wood | Introduction to Encaustic
Over many years Kat has developed and refined her own techniques of working with encaustic, which has provided a foundation for both painting and assemblage.
During this weekend workshop, Kat will introduce you to the exciting possibilities of working with this medium of wax, resin and pigment. She will guide you through the hands on process of preparing and applying the medium, and the various ways of engaging with colour, abstract mark making and manipulation. Suitable for all levels.
