JAMES GUPPY | PAINTING WITH ACRYLICS
Acrylic paint is probably one of the most flexible paints available to artists today yet artists and teachers often fail to see the wide variety of possibilities it offers. It can emulate both watercolour and oil paint but also has its own particular characteristics and potential.
This weekend workshop is intended to demonstrate some of the possible ways of using this versatile medium…allowing the student time to play and explore how to capitalise on its particular strengths and minimize its limitations.
James Guppy’s paintings in acrylic are consistently mistaken for oil paintings. His career has stretched the potential of the acrylic medium - first painting large murals, and for the last 30 years as a contemporary artist.
Suitable for all levels.
