This six week course continues to investigate the processes and symbolism of layering in painting and drawing. This class will be experimental and process driven. Students will work with a variety of materials to create final surfaces that are rich, textural and evocative.

Students should bring a range of acrylic paints, brushes, inks, pencils, charcoal, sandpaper, blades, glue or binder medium, oil sticks, heavy duty drawing paper that can handle mixed media and 6 -8 small timber boards (these will not be necessary on the first week). Please also bring a few small objects that are in some way meaningful to you.
