Emma Walker | Working with Layers & Memory
This four week course investigates the processes and symbolism of layering in painting and drawing. This class will be experimental and process driven. Students will work with a variety of materials to create final surfaces that are rich, textural and evocative.
Students should bring a range of acrylic paints, brushes, inks, pencils, charcoal, sandpaper, blades, glue or binder medium, oil sticks, heavy duty drawing paper that can handle mixed media and 6 -8 small timber boards (these will not be necessary on the first week). Please also bring a few small objects that are in some way meaningful to you.
Please note this course is usually run for six weeks but will be run over four weeks, so course days will be longer than usual.
