EMILY IMESON | PAINTING IN THE PARK
During this two day workshop students will explore fundamental skills required to create landscapes whilst investigating the origins of landscape painting – globally and nationally and the relevance of contemporary landscape painting today.
Students will be introduced to basic compositional techniques and will investigate fundamental methods relating to mark-making and colour play. The course will be undertaken in acrylics only while exploring strategies for achieving an oil paint lustre.
Over the weekend Emily will support students to decipher both theoretical and creative references which will influence discussions surrounding landscape and provide the practical foundations for painting.
