Dominique Sutton I Introduction to Sculpture

“Sculpture, like all the creative arts, is mainly a process of transferring into some tangible material seemingly intangible ideas”

This 6 week course will give students the opportunity to explore the basic principles of sculptural practice - get to grips with materials, concepts and techniques that will give them the confidence to pursue their own work.

Students will look at historical and contemporary work to gain an appreciation of what makes a good sculpture based on knowledge and expertise.
