Dale Rhodes I Introduction to Painting
This 8-week course will cover the foundational skills needed to paint portraits, still life, landscapes and more. It will investigate which paint colours are really needed and which aren't, as well as mediums, brushes and all technical and equipment questions.
The course will focus mainly on oils, but acrylics may be used if preferred. Dale will advise how oils can be used with no solvents at all if toxicity or odour is a concern.
Students will be introduced to basic paint handling as well as the fundamentals of tone and colour, and Dale will illustrate a simple but very effective method with which to approach any painting.
This course is Part 1 of our 'Year of Painting' course at BSA. Students may enrol as part of the year-long course, or just by the term as they would with any other short course.
Classes will be held at 112 Dalley Street, Mullumbimby
