Courtney Cook

Courtney was born and raised in California, with an innate understanding and eye for colour. Prior to moving to Australia in 2009, Courtney had a successful floral and event design studio in Newport Beach California.

Upon moving to Australia she studied interiors at the Sydney Design School, where she then went on to teach their Colour and Colour Theory courses before moving to Byron Bay.

After several years exploring her interest in painting, Courtney enrolled in The Byron School of Art’s three-year Visual Arts course, graduating in 2017.

Courtney received the Northern Rivers Community Gallery BSA Graduate Award of a solo show in the Northern Rivers Community Gallery, and in April 2019 completed a five-week Artist Residency at the Arteles Creative Center in Hämeenkyrö, Finland.
