AVIVA REED | CREATING ECOLOGICAL PORTRAITS

During this two-day workshop, students will explore the intersection of philosophy, ecology, and art by creating an ecological portrait of our local environment, The Big Scrub. Students will be introduced to various mediums, including graphite, charcoal, ink, and watercolours to layer and create complex stories of place.

Aviva will guide students to explore geological, biological, and microbial worlds to create a multi-layered ecological portrait inspired by ecological processes, local plants, animals, fungi, rocks, water and microbes.

Suitable for beginners, experienced artists, and professionals seeking to integrate ecology into their creative practice.
