Jacqueline Hennessy will present an illustrated Artist Talk about her art practice and stunning new exhibition of paintings Still Life on display at Tweed Regional Gallery. Hennessy is the inaugural recipient of the Tweed Regional Gallery – National Art School MFA Residency Award and will reflect on her National Art School journey.
This is a collaborative event between c.a.s.e (contemporary art space and education), Byron School of Art, and the Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre.

2020 Archibald and Sulman Prize Finalist Abdul Abdullah will talk about early works that you can't find online, some of his professional highlights and controversies, and what he's been up to lately.

Abdul is this year's judge of the Hurford Hardwood Portrait Prize at Lismore Regional Gallery (opens 6 November), and will be in conversation at the gallery on 5 November.
Abdul also has work in the 'Just Not Australian' exhibition at the Tweed Regional Gallery until 8 November.

Michael Philp - The Reluctant Artist

Michael will talk about his practice and processes, and how he turns family and personal stories into art work.
Michael has received a commendation in the NSW Parliament Art Prize. Last year his painting 'The Warrior' was accepted into a travelling exhibition of the Regional Galleries of NSW.
