During this two-day short course Antoinette will demonstrate unique techniques that she employs in the process of her practice and guide students to develop a bust with various expressive details. Technical short cuts and various methods for building with clay, specifically slab building, will be explored. Students will also look at how anatomy plays a significant part in the process. 

Exposure to artistic influences and contemporaries in the field of ceramics will be discussed providing a theoretical foundation.

There will be a base materials fee of $28.50 per student, and a firing fee of $6/kg post firing.

No prior ceramics experience necessary.
