VISUAL ARTS PRACTICE (Second Year)
(VAP) One Year Course
30 weeks, Two days per week: Wednesdays & Thursdays 10:00am – 3:00pm

DATES | February 2018 - November 2018 Term 1 | 27 February – 11 April, 7 weeks (3 week Vacation) Term 2 | 8 May – 4 July, 9 weeks (3 week Vacation) Term 3 | 31 July – 19 September, 8 weeks (3 week Vacation) Term 4 | 16 October – 21 November, 6 weeks
This studio based course is designed to develop students' individual practice. While primarily intended for students who have completed our Foundation (FYVA) course, consideration will be given for those who have studied visual arts elsewhere. Students are guided by our experienced team to develop critical thinking and their own visual language through research methods as well as continue to experiment in a range of disciplines including drawing, painting, printmaking, 3D and installation. Course activities include studio work, field trips, gallery visits, guest lecturers, group exhibitions.
Eligibility: Students who have completed the Foundation year are eligible for the Visual Arts Practice course.
Note: Students who complete the Visual Arts Practice year are then eligible for the Visual Arts Research & Portfolio course.
Total Cost for the year is $4680 (incl. GST). If students pay in full before 3rd February 2018, course fee will be discounted to $4400 (incl. GST).
To secure a place in the course, students must sign up for the whole year. (If due to any unforeseen circumstances the course does not run, all monies will be refunded.)
